Meditation is like describing negative space. You can only talk about That which it's not. It is not concentration,it is the opposite of focus.It is not contemplation, it is the opposite of engagement. it is not sleep,it is the opposite of losing consciousness. meditation is a tool for your mind to use when you see fit, to gain an increase in rest and awareness. You do not need a guru or become part of a cult, because meditation is the most private activity that is available.
