Stupidity? You be the judge.

A: Power operated exit doors with push plate switches marked with the International Symbol for Handicapped Access. Note the EXIT sign above the doors. These doors lead to a raised platform with no way to ground level other than concrete steps. This exit cannot be considered an accessible exit and is not marked as being inaccessible to those in a wheelchair.

B: Power operated doors with push plate switches marked with the International Symbol for Handicapped Access. Note there is NO EXIT SIGN above these doors. These doors lead to a gently sloped sidewalk to the parking lot. If this were a marked exit it would be considered accessible.

C: These are the main entry doors to the City Council Chambers from the remainder of the City Hall building, or from the parking lot. These also are power operated doors with push plate switches marked with the International Symbol for Handicapped Access.

On exiting the Council Chambers area through these doors one is presented with the marked exit ("A" above) straight ahead in a direct path. That marked exit cannot be considered an accessible exit and is not marked as being inaccessible to those in a wheelchair. Doors "B" are to the side of the direct route, and are not marked as an exit.

Not shown: Behind me when taking this picture is another set of power operated doors with push plate switches marked with the International Symbol for Handicapped Access. These doors lead into a hallway leading to the first floor lobby of the building.
