Choir and Congregational practice is once a month on the first Wednesday of each month. If you are interested in the Adult Choir we would be glad to have you. Remember the only requirement is "to make a joyful noise unto the Lord"

Centering Prayer meets every Thursday at 7:00 pm.  Centering Prayer is the opening of mind and heart - our whole being - to God, the Ultimate Mystery, beyond thoughts, words and emotions. We open our awareness to God whom we know by faith is within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than choosing - closer than conciousness itself.

Our Sunday School classes meet Sundays at 10:00 am.

You are invited to join us in fellowship and refreshments at the Parish House, Sundays at 10:40 am.

Children’s Sunday School

Yes, we do have a very active children’s Sunday School. Since the fall, several dedicated adults (Brenda Beck, Cori Everhart, Bessie Faircloth, Karen Deadmon, and Denise Whitaker) have provided a fun and interactive Sunday School program for our children.

The curriculum encompasses the broad spectrum of ages found among the children of our parish. This class is also based on the lectionary readings that are heard in church that Sunday.

During the past semester our children have learned about saints and many bible characters. They have made banners, Jessie Tree ornaments and decorated a tree. They have colored, cut and pasted, and played with mustard seeds.

If you know of a family that is looking for a church home, let them know that we can meet the needs of their family and offer an active program for their children.

Our next Vestry Meeting (TBA). It is open to all.

Boy Scouts This group meets on Monday nights at 7pm in the Parish House.

Brownie Scout Troop This group meets on Tuesday evenings in the Parish House at 7pm

Vacation Bible School - Normally in July from 7 - 8:30 PM with classes for all ages.

Prayer Vigils (Contact Monte Taylor to add anyone)
Remember the following in your prayers:

Mary Francis Hendrix, Kent Mathewson, Bradley Prevette, Gwen Cleary, Becky Wallace, Dustin Myers, Agnes Ratledge, Hilda Seaford, Tracy Beck, Sallie Sain.

Lord, in your mercy, Hear our prayer.

For the peace of the world, that a spirit of respect and forbearance may grow among nations and peoples, we pray to you, O Lord.

Guide the people of this land, and of all the nations, in the ways of justice and peace; that we may honor one another and serve the common good.

For the peace of the world, for the welfare of the Holy Church of God, and for the unity of all peoples, Lord, have mercy.

For our enemies and those who wish us harm, and for all whom we have injured or offended, we pray to you, O Lord.

We pray for all who govern and hold authority in the nations of the world; That there may be justice and peace on the earth.

For those in positions of public trust, especially George, our President, that they may serve justice, and promote the dignity and freedom of every person, we pray to you, O Lord.

Have compassion on those who suffer from any grief or trouble; That they may be delivered from their distress.

For the poor, the persecuted, the sick, and all who suffer; for refugees, prisoners, and all who are in danger; that they may be relieved and protected, we pray to you, O Lord.

For all who have commended themselves to our prayers; for our families, friends, and neighbors; that being freed from anxiety, they may live in joy, peace, and health, we pray to you, O Lord.

Comfort and heal all those who suffer in body, mind, or spirit; give them courage and hope in their troubles, and bring them the joy of your salvation.

We commend to your mercy all who have died, that your will for them may be fulfilled; and we pray that we may share with all your saints in your eternal kingdom. Give to the departed eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them.

For all who have died in the communion of your Church, and those whose faith is known to you alone, that, with all the saints, they may have rest in that place where there is no pain or grief, but life eternal, we pray to you, O Lord.

Give us grace to do your will in all that we undertake; That our works may find favor in your sight.

Lord, in your mercy
Hear our prayer.

For yours is the majesty, O Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, now and for ever.

Amen.
