Speedwell Studios Story:

Don't be silly, it's just us shooting some film and having some fun!

Our film and pictures were taken with our digital cameras, a Sony Mavica and a Pentax Optio.  The Optio is waterproof.

We edit the movies with Adobe Premiere Elements and the pictures with Adobe Photoshop Elemetns.

The Name Speedwell

The name Speedwell was the name of a pirate ship.

Later, a ship named Speedwell was supposed to take settlers to the new world along with a little known boat, the Mayflower.  It's crew caused problems and it was eventually left behind.  The Speedwell  eventually transported immigrants to the new world, as did a ship in the 19th century.

At least two warships in the British navy were also called Speedwell in addition to a scientific research vessel.
