Guest Book for

Merton S. Zeisset

We thought so much of Rev. Zeisset and Ina while we lived at Satanta and attended church there. And keeping in touch with them after 1980 was so special too. We will certainly miss hearing from them. The family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, Frank & Evelyn Houck

My earliest memory of Merton is from a family reunion in Leonardville. From that time he was an inspiration to me and many others in helping us connect with our heritage. He had a delightful way of telling family and personal stories. Over the years, Merton and Ina demonstrated genuine concern for others and this became the attribute which was most prominent in my thoughts about them. They didn't just ask "How are you?" They asked "How are you?" and really wanted to know how you were and really cared. That sincere and genuine concern for others is what made them so special. We could all benefit from following their example and continuing that mission.

Paul and Ray, I am so sorry to learn of your father's passing.

So many good memories come to mind when I think of Merton. He was a person who could bring our Zeisset Clan together and keep up his, and our, interest in the genealogy and history of the Zeisset family. He made our family come alive by bringing members of our large family together. It was only late in his life when I finally had the opportunity to meet both Merton and Ina and to enjoy their friendship and hospitality. I remember my parents speaking so highly of your parents.

Your father will be greatly missed.

Our sympathy in the passing of your Dad. He was a great gentleman. We are so thankful that we attended the Zeisset reunion in Aug. We will not be able to be at the funeral, as Carl has a nasty cough and chest cold. We will be thinking of you. Carl and Ruth

We have warm memories of the Zeisset family when they ministered to our church family at Worden near Baldwin City. I remember that Merton was our pastor when our first daughter, Charlotte, was born in August, 1947. As I remember Merton was related to the Schwalm family. Roy, "Nonie," and Lester have all gone to their reward but Helen is still living in Baldwin.
We extend our sympathy to the family but we celebrate a life lived in service to the Lord.
Sincerely, Fred & Eunice Breithaupt
