The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator^® Instrument

The MBTI^® instrument is the most widely used measure of normal personality. It is based on the theory of Carl Jung about how people have different preferences:

• for the way they take in information
• for the way they make decisions
• how they are energized from the outer world or their inner world
• how they prefer to structure their lives.

Identifying, understanding and appreciating these differences can enhance communication, cooperation, self-esteem, relationships, and productivity through objective and constructive use of the differences.
