Welcome to The Forest And The Trees. These pages are devoted to the wonderous and humbling world of the tree. What I hope to do in these pages is put forth ways to understand trees both scientifically and spiritually.
In my own experience, I have found that spiritual systems that contradict my knowledge and the information of my senses is ultimately unsatisfactory. Science that insists it is above, or can exist without reference to spirituality is ultimately corrupt and inhuman. We, at least those of us in the West, have been taught to believe that science and spirituality are mutually contradictory systems, but I believe that much can be gained by the attempt to join science and spirit.
