For this exercise you will need a tape recorder of some kind. Have it ready to go before your start.

Think of an area of your life you would like to have more information on and ask a question based on what you would like to know. Write your question down along with the date and the deck you are using. Ground and center.

Pick 5 cards face down and rapidly drop them so they turn and land face up in a loose pile in front of you.

Let the cards overlap a little if that's how they fall, but if a card is very obscured quickly move it so that you can see it.

Glance at the cards quickly and look up.

Immediately start talking (into the tape recorder) about anything that comes up, including:

    - Sensations you are getting from senses besides sight.
    - Memories that come to mind.
    - People you suddenly think of.

If you get stuck, glance down quickly again and immediately look up and start talking.

When you think you've exhausted everything you have to say, rewind the tape and listen to it.

How does what you said relate to your question?
