Controversy is swirling around a sculpture commissioned for the George W. Bush Sewerage Treatment Plant in Yuba City.
The highly polished, black burnished, Tibetan steel sculpture sits on a contrasting rough hewn granite block from the Mount Airy Quarry.
Designed by internationally famous, dimensional artist Enriasska San del Culo the sculpture has been called "a giant butt plug" by its critics.
Mr. San del Culo defends his work by explaining, "My sculpture is a symbol of purity. It is an arrowhead burnished by the cleansing fires of a forgiving universe. It points to the divine virtue found in all of existance."
Albert Everston, a long time resident of Yuba City, said, "Mr. San del Culo talks funny and his sculpture still looks like a butt plug."
