Another Money-making Scheme on the Internet
The Supreme Taco Supreme Eater
MPS: Yuba City, CA, USA: Imogene Offenfenster of Yuba City has developed a scheme to make money on the Internet. It does not involve spamming, selling, or multi-level marketing.
"It's a simple plan," says Miss Offenfenster, "I hope to just sit back and rake in the money." "I got the idea one day after closing a half-dozen pop-up windows on my computer. I said to myself, 'Girl you should charge rent for space on your screen.' So, I made up little signs that I email to the adverisers whenever a pop-up window appears on my screen."
And Miss Offenfenster is not shy about sharing her scheme with others. She hopes it may slow down the flood of ads she gets for prescriptions, credit cards, loans, and dating services among other things.
To date Miss Offenfenster has not received payment from any of the advertisers.
And the pop-ups keep popping up.

CEO Jetstream Inks Inc. Sir: Recently An ad for your product, Jestream Jet Black Jet Printer Ink, appeared upon my computer desktop as a pop-up window. Since it was not a webpage I chose to browse, and, since my desktop space is at a premium I require payment for any advertising that is placed there. My current rate for an ad of your size is $10.00 per insertion. Please remit that amount to: Miss Imogene Offenfenster Thank you. |
