The nature of number 1 is intellectual and masculine. It denotes
change and pioneering work. New events, new conditions, and travel are
indicated when the number 1 is present in a name or cycle. Will power is
well developed in the 1. Goals are well defined and actions have a definite
purpose. The negative nature of 1 is ruthless, domineering, selfish, and
self-gratifying. The negative 1 rationalizes it's actions as "duty".
The planetary symbol of 1 is the sun. It's qualities are: life-giving, creation, vitality, new beginnings, inventiveness, originality, and brilliance.
