Many customers like to know about the company and people behind the products they buy. Here we will tell you a little about ourselves and our company.

Our Business Philosophy

The objective of Mind&BodyWorks is to improve lives by educating people through instruction and demonstration, about the many health benefits of yoga.

Our area of focus is to offer the average working person an opportunity to improve their physical and mental health by learning and practicing yoga and stress reduction techniques right at their workplace. We believe a happy empoyee is a productive employee. Working through the human resources departments of corporations large and small, we have brought our service to dozens of companies in the New York metropolitan area.

We hope you will enjoy visiting our web site and learning more about the various services we offer, such as Yoga at Your Desk, Yoga in the Sky, and on-site yoga classes and seminars and workshops on stress reduction and yoga-related topics.

Our Company

"Mind & Body Works" was created by Suzanne Barraza, R.Y.T.* to bring yoga to people at work. Having worked as a company employee for many years, Suzanne experienced what many employees experience everyday--physical symptoms such as body tension, aches and pains, headaches, trouble concentrating, etc., which could be traced to sitting practically motionless at a desk for hours,  She discovered that practicing yoga increased her energy and concentration and relieved many of the physical symptoms. When Suzanne left the corporate world to become a full-time yoga teacher, she realized that many people could not leave work to practice yoga, so she decided to bring yoga to them!

Suzanne has given many yoga and stress reduction workshops and seminars at  various local area companies, including the Waldorf Astoria, J.Walter Thompson, UPS, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Rabobank.

Suzanne’s yoga has been featured on Fox TV’s Good Day New York, NBC’s“Hispanics Today,”  and in The New Jersey Journal.

Suzanne is a member of The New York Yoga Teachers Association and Yoga Alliance, is CPR certified, and is insured for liability.
