how sweet spring blossoms are
incomparable gift
short-lived as the late winter snowman
mostly lilacs and forsythia
ask the cardinal
ask the hummingbird
who could want more
people go ooo...aaah
like watching fireworks
as we round each bend
every curve in the
road brings a new surprise
soft pastel colors
splash a charcoal sky
as spring gracefully
fades into summer
almost enough to make me
want to move back
to the town where I grew up
but not quite
you're never a hero in your own hometown
(Jesus said something like that
and he would know)
