FEHU [wealth]
plant your seeds where thorns and weeds
and brambles dare not grow
and you'll receive one hundred fold
from every seed you sow

URUZ [strength]
call forth the dove with olive leaf
heal the earth from sorrow and grief
watch the trees grow strong and tall
hear the nightingale's evening call

THURISAZ [evil]
flaming dragon winter days
going back to ancient ways
moon is pale the night is black
darkness rules we're turning back

ANSUZ [a message]
blow your trumpet in the tower
ringing in the evening hour
mournful echo through the halls
candles burning on the walls

RAIDO [journey]
the spirits come
between sleep and dreams
from a land
deep in the past
then fade like the cry
of distant geese
and sand
through the hourglass

KAUNO [light]
a raven stole the sun one day
the moon began to mourn
tiny pieces broke away
and a thousand stars were born
drummers in the distance
pipers in the dell
a vigil til the sun returns
and all is safe and well

GEBO [love]
you are the wave
that breaks in my heart
you are the wind
that tears me apart
you are the fire
that's burning inside
so near and so far
two bodies apart
share the same love
share the same heart

WUNJO [contentment]
I will follow the piper
in dark of the night
walk in the rain
with a fire so bright
measure the month
in the phase of the moon
have tea in the courtyard
in late afternoon

HAGALAZ [disruption]
the merry maidens turned to stone
one day without a warning
now sheep and horses graze alone
this frosty winter morning
silver stones in silence sit
beside a lonely hedgerow
widows tend their flowerbeds
and heather's in the meadow

NAUDIZ [desire]
summer's here the Goddess dwells in
golden fields of wheat
Beltane Eve upon the hill
feel the fire's heat
moon and Venus rise tonight
shining from above
glowing in the eastern sky
surely signs of love

ISA [ice]
like the wind in Castle Valley
and druids in the dark
no shadow on the sundial
no sound comes from the lark
there's a chapel in the meadow
melting in the rain
cobblestones and ivy
and a broken windowpane

JERA [harvest]
harvest time and all is done
grain behind the door
swan is swimming toward the sun
returning nevermore
autumn comes and amber leaves are
falling at my feet
come sit beside the blackthorn tree
taste the bittersweet

IHWAZ [magic]
bury a potion
under the moon
magic will bring
your love to you soon
and each of your tears
that falls to the ground
will grow into violets
when no one's around

PERTH [mystery]
full moon is amber
snow falling white
the cauldron is steaming
with spells in the  night
fasten the shutters
lower the latch
by midnight tomorrow
we've a dragon to catch

ALGIZ [refuge]
darkest December brings
healing and peace
the calling of crows
song of the geese
sit near the fire
like a cat by the coals
warm your soul

SOWILO [spirit]
rain and wind
snow and hail
on darkest night
the light prevails
join us
by the alder tree
the world is all
one family

TIWAZ [courage]
angry waves against the cliff
castle wall is mossy green
lion springs at break of day
on to save the captured queen

BERKANAN [beauty/rebirth]
yellow is the color
of the forest in the fall
green the gown
summer wears to the ball
white is the overcoat
that cold winter brings
and crimson crowns
the flowers in spring

EHWAZ [horse/travel]
ride your horse at midnight
moonless on the moor
racing toward the sunrise
on Glastonbury Tor

MANNAZ [the soul]
the sun and the moon
shining their light
one bringing day
and one the night
both pure and white
white as the fleece
doing the Dance
the Dance of Peace

LAGUZ [water]
after the flood no one returns
after the fire everything burns
after the flood it was quiet and bare
silence and emptiness everywhere

INGWAZ [completion]
enter through Damascus Gate
into days of old
lanterns will illuminate
the streets are paved with gold

OTHILA [family]
moon and the mistletoe
robin and wren
owl in the treetop
fox in his den
circle of stone
in new fallen snow
lark and the nightingale
sing to the crow

DAGAZ [a new dawn]
they say a new world
lies beyond
where bonnie songbird sings
the sky is traversed
here and there
by graceful men with wings
