DARSHAN

a hole in my shadow

two moons in the sky

omens of great import

constellations, galaxies, solar systems expand

until a meteorite impacts the Earth

...and comes to life

it's great fortune to meet a saint

once in a lifetime

one who comes from

an era of peace

who looks straight through me

even greater fortune to live with him

and serve

he speaks:

you are no longer young

neither are you old

you are not even the face in the mirror

you are the eyes behind the reflection

the same eyes that look back at all beings

who looks through these eyes

that are watching you

as you look back

who is speaking to you

who is listening

visit the great temples

all temples to the One

whose emissary has come down

to earth

make the pilgrimage

from labyrinth of mind

into peace and beatitude

we change from inside out

like the turning of leaves

in autumn

and like the greening of shoots

in spring

go slowly

grace comes upon us

like the sun that shines equally on all

and when the sun shines through the forest

after a night rain

thousands of drops of water

dripping through the trees

reflect the radiance of that same sun

and the day never ends

shine onto everyone you meet
