clock stops ticking
birds listen
Buddha is silent in the garden
master climbs the mountain
student follows his footsteps
footsteps disappear
dust settles on flowers
sleep descends on eyes
moon rises in the sky
woodpecker taps
rooster crows
it's a morning symphony
fear builds a nest in my hair
it flies off somewhere else
fear returns to the nest
roses climb
garden is full
contentment grows like weeds
no flowers grow
in the garden
of illusion
birdsong is the music
of the air
a concert at dawn
alone in the dark
a single star appears
and then vanishes
moon reflects the feelings
that lie inside
hidden during the day
a pool of silence
sends ripples
around the world
fog blows in
cool and luminous
like a cloud from Atlantis
cat sits on Buddha's head
orange cat green Buddha
the Buddha smiles
candle flame burns bright
then one day
it goes out
Avalokiteshvara speaks:
WAKE UP
I fall back asleep
