In Tracie's words:
"Everything I teach is what I live. This is not to say that I do it all so perfectly. It is only to say that these
are my practices, so I have personal experience with them, AND I have learned from my success as well as my failure. "Failure"
is a beautiful opportunity for growth even though it may not always be my prettiest picture. And really its all Yoga, the
practice of living in awareness, truth and love, from the mat and beyond, as we go out into the world.
The passionate thread in all that I do and also the essence of my "social sustainability project" is connecting
intimately with myself and the world and from that essential knowing, guiding others to know/experience the intimate potential
in their relationships, their lives and their communities, which leads to passionate, joy full living."
Some Background Information:
I remember beginning my first relationship studies when I was 2 years old. And making conscious choices regarding child raising
when I was ten. My nutritional studies began when I was thirteen and around that same time I knew that I wanted to live "the
old-fashioned way", which was really when my interest and exploration of sustainable practices began. Since then, I've
had about five or six years worth of farming experience with different farms and focuses, including fruits, vegetables, herbs
and now, flowers! I've designed, installed and maintained an abundance of gardens, including a permaculture landscape project
that I was blessed to work on with Tom Ward. I've also worked with several herb businesses, both in the garden and as an herbalist
on staff. These include Moonrise Herbs, Pacific Botanicals, Alchemy Botanicals and Mountain Rose Herbs. I love learning and
integrating what I learn into my life when it brings me closer to health and balance and helps me connect to my own true nature
and joy.
