Blonde Horde continued

Below is EDGE PiliAloha without whom I would not have been able to revive my hairless line and from whence spawned the Horde. Pili is a fearless brave soul with a 'wheel-tail' that will put your eye out. She is a standard beige berk hairless/carrier. She is the rat pictured later with Nigel.

PiliAloha has her own little song I sing to her, sung to the Lion King song. It's a good thing I live alone, because I have songs for all my animals and I understand it can be quite annoying to humans.

On cage cleaning day I use my bathtub as a holding facility for the Horde. If you watched the video on the previous page you know that they subsequently take over my bathroom.

For two weeks in a row, I believed that I had gotten all of them back in to the cage. Normally counting them would suffice, but they DO all look almost alike and are slippery little devils so I would always lose count. (don't judge me until you've tried to count the blonde version of the movie Ben) I had checked the towels in the tub, the floor, the sink and the back of the toilet yet still I would be the recipient of the rattie 'stink-eye' courtesy of PiliLani whom I would find perched on the edge of the tub later. Once I even put another colony of larger girls in the tub before coming back to find poor Lani gripping the sink with a "Holy Crap!" expression on her adorable face.

I couldn't figure it out, until the day I looked up.

I now tuck the shower curtain up out of the way so it doesn't get chewed or scaled by monkey rats. The following week I lost her AND Wikiki. It took me less time to find her because I knew to look up but how they actually got up where I found them was a mystery at first. Yes, that is the top of the Vanity - she climbs up by gripping the textured-paint walls on her left and the edge of the mirror on her right. I kid you not.

Three weeks later they chewed the light fixture loose. (sigh). That was fun to repair. (insert sarcasm)

PX Pili Lani [pee lee lah nee] - means Close to Heaven - perhaps giving reason behind her compulsion to be on top of the world. She is a standard beige smoothie hairless/carrier.

above and right - PX Wikiki - Dumbo agouti hairless. She is a wanna-be blonde and I sincerely think the reason that she is on top of the vanity is so she can break into the Hydrogen Peroxide and become a bottle-blonde.

were not photographed by themselves. I may add them later, but not counting the use of heavy narcotics, I can certify that I will never get Midway to stand still.

Oh, did I forget to mention that my females are affectionately called "Crack Rats"?

The following four rats also live with the Horde, but consist of SinDee and her daughters. (Bacchus and Otto are their male siblings.)

BN SinDee is a Dumbo Black burmese/carrier and is out of SRR Bardoch X BN Pexton and was fostered by Lorraine Morrow.

above and right - ZT Nutmeg is a Dumbo Agouti. People don't give the wild color agouti enough recognition. I love agoutis. They have such beautifully complex fur.

above and right - ZT Cinnamon is a Dumbo Rexed Cinnamon Agouti. Cinnamon is quite chunky and spends most of her time hogging the hammocks.
