Everything You Ever Wanted To Know!! (Links)

It's called Zoo Tribe because my name is Zoo and this is my Tribe.
Here you will find photos of my pets, most of them Rats, three Cats and three Black-tailed Prairie Dogs. I also have pictures of my garden and statuaries.

Below is a picture of Gaston, the founding father of my hairless line.  He is wearing a GI Joe Coast Guard uniform because I spent 10 years on active duty and at the time thought the photo would be cute.  It was shot and edited by Bella.
To keep Gaston's memory alive is the only reason I breed an occasional hairless litter.

Is it me or is it chilly in here?!!

I even feed the tree-rats in my neck of the woods, even
if they have to climb into a dogs mouth to get their corn!!

RESCUES:
I do not normally do rescue, so please do not contact me if you have an animal that needs a home.  There is a list of contacts on my 'All You Need to Know' page that will help you.   I do not have the resources or the patience to help you with a rescue at this time.

**If you are wondering what the initials in front and behind the names stand for, you can check out The Ratster for the initials. Basically, the breeder's initials are first and the owner's initials are last. Mine are ZT.

Enjoy your visit!!

Policies
Zoo Tribe Rattery is a PET ONLY rattery and places rats only with people with references from other breeders I am familiar with.  I am not a large scale breeder and breed once or twice a year.  I breed for health and personality first and foremost.  I believe in and follow a strict quarantine procedure for incoming rats which is why most of my rats come from only a few breeders that I trust.

I realize this sounds harsh, but if you have witnessed what I have seen and heard about over the years in connection with placing pet rats...you would understand.  People can be unbelievably cruel, stupid and just plain lazy when it comes to pets (see my statement about how many of my pets are rescues).   I have enough bad memories stored in my brain, I don't need anymore.
