Mark was born on August 3. He has been interested in the art of puppetry since he was 2 1/2. His very first puppet
was a skunk puppet that he found at a truck stop on the Pennsylvania turnpike. He named it "Flower", because at this point
in his life, Bambi was his favorite movie.
In 1992, he got a dog puppet at the Kutztown Folk Festival. At first the dog didn't have a name or a voice of
it's own. It wasn't until Mark read a book about a character named "Yippee", and since the dog puppet would make a "yip" sound,
Mark named the dog, Yippee.
Mark has made contact with some professional puppeteers and he has been to The Center for Puppetry Arts, in Atlanta
numorous times. He hopes to someday be the world's greatest puppeteer.
