The season's opening concert was successfully completed. The Symphony No. 1 "Titan" by Mahler was really challenging, but we got standing obeisance. Next concert will be the Holiday Concert. We will play Concerto Grosso Op. 6 by A. Corelli. This is well known as "Christmas Carol".

I am looking for god string players for our orchestra. If you know a good strings players moving into Wilmington, please encourage them to call orchestra office or send me an e-mail.

Next audition for new members will be held on Monday, January 13, 2003. Please call orchestra office at (910) 791-9262 if you are interested in. You must provide your own transportation and be available to attend orchestra rehearsals every Tuesday from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Those who miss several rehearsals or the dress rehearsal for each concert may be removed from the concert. Designated music to be used for the audition is available from orchestra office.
