Assign the Kick to the lowest key of the keyboard and the Snare to the
highest key of the keyboard.  Assign stereo panning and when you press
the "Wave" button, select keyboard.  The Synclavier assigns the very
lowest keys to the left channel and the very highest to the right channel
with all other keys being assigned to various stereo positions inbetween.

or

Create a stereo sample and have a mono Kick sample copied to the left
channel with the right channel empty.  Do the same with the Snare except
reverse assignments.
