The Latest Dope, Past ...And Present...Yikes.

POPDeFECT has released seven singles, three EP's, a 10",Three CDs, six compilation tracks and been the subjects of "Live With This", a full length documentary film chronicling their tours across America. They have recorded songs for two different movies as well and appeared in a television pilot as the "House Band" (!) Bassist Charlie was even on TV's Jones and Jury program to stand trial for spitting beer on a wormy little photographer who dared come to one of their shows!! (He deserved it). Their last CD release, "LIVE IN BIG BEAR" showcases sixteen live tracks including a number of weird cover songs. Recorded live, the CD serves as a soundtrack for the latest POPDeFECT film: DRINKING POISON, HANDLING SERPENTS, SPEAKING IN TONGUES, a fake documentary about the band being cruelly exploited by a sinister manager and left high and dry without a penny. Hmmmm...sounds like pure fiction, all right! In addition, the band has appeared on the Silverlake compilation "What a drag" on Neurotica Records. Somewhat recent releases include:"Everyday is Brenda day",on Seattle's Scooch Pooch records, which is also the latest video, A split single with Portland's Satans's Pilgrims on Dionysus Records, as well as the compilation from Blood Red Vinyl"Mondo Drive In" featuring the boys doing a cover of the theme song from Bedazzled. As far as Silverlake goes the very same idiots will be appearing on a Spaceland compilation doing a cover song you won't believe. That is if Mitchel gets his shit together, that is. We still remember the infamous "Calendar incident". The final CD is due out to coincide with the last four shows of Popdefect itself and will contain 12 tracks of new songs that the band has been working on for the past eleven hundred years.
