Jesus Fucking Christ!
It's...

Yeah, well so what if you think it sucks, man, YOU suck!
There are lots of bands out there playing "New Rose", "Sonic
Reducer" and "Bloodstains", but PUDDY
JR. and the PUNK ROCK ALL STARS are the only
band to have actually WRITTEN them!
Back in the late seventies and early eighties band leader Puddy wrote "1970", "Cover band", "American in me" and dozens of other now Punk Rock classics, as well as hits for Nazareth, Toto, and Asia, and Kansas. Persuaded to sign over the rights to these gems while drunk and dusted one evening, Puddy fell prey to the same bastard who had fucked over Aaron Neville and John Fogerty years before. Unfortunately for Puddy, the local authorities were powerless-- and besides, already despised him because of his frequent cocaine benders and notorious ten year heroin habit.
Furious and out of work, Puddy split his Huntington Beach home after writing "Kill Hippies" for a band he was in and set his sights on San Francisco. Wallowing in obscurity there for a number of years, the troubled genius finally got sick of the Haight and left for Los Angeles. There he met up with Wellington Fostex, who was to become the guitarist in the All Stars just a few years later after the break up of his Los Angeles groundbreaking Punk band The Raid. It would take Puddy years, until 1996, to put together the rest of the band--not because qualified people weren't available, but because his violent nature and drug abuse quickly frightened any possible other musicians.
The first line up of Puddy Jr. and the Punk Rock All stars played on July 4th, 1996, and included the frightening presence of D.A. Fostex on guitar and longtime Puddy Co-writer Rico Murder on bass, with their first drummer Punky Pete, who left the band after the first year or so after being beaten up by skinheads.
Searching for another drummer who could tolerate the overly fast tempos and constant drug abuse would take a matter of months until Puddy ran into current drummer Knick Gnarley at a Damned show and it was love at first sight. Since Gnarley had been in The Raid years before with Fostex, the line up clicked and they began playing about town--creating a sensation.
The All Stars and Puddy are currently
hard at work on their new reocrding, tenetively titled "They're our
songs, you fuckheads!" which should be out soon on Septic Tank Records.
