It is estimated that Mountain Temple has sponsored over 400 rituals, special events, and classes for the neo-Pagan and Magickal community in Phoenix since 1990. Classes have been held in several locations around Phoenix over the years, while events and rituals are largely held at our main location, Mountain Temple Center.

November 6 Golden Dawn Symbology
November 9 Drumming Circle with Damon Thundercrow. Damon Thundercrow will be presenting a New Moon dance and drumming circle at Mountain Temple Center starting at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday Nov 9. Damon Thundercrow is an ordained minister with the American Indian Church along with ordinations in various eastern and western spiritual paths. The purpose of the circle will be, says Damon, "We pray for clarity of vision, so that we may see what it is that needs to be done. We pray for renewed abundance on Mother Earth for all beings and we accept that abundance with our needs fulfilled, we can focus our spiritual paths." Those attending should wear comfortable but modest clothing. To be in the circle one must wear moccasins or be bare foot. Anyone may bring a drum and join in the drumming. A potluck feast will follow.

The fest will consist of Pot luck feasting and drinking bonfire a gift exchange with those bringing a gift receiving a gift in the ancient Viking tradition and a traditional Viking ritual to celebrate the longest night of the year.

pm, Ritual begins around 9 pm and party may last long into the night.
The focus will be on presenting a magickal ritual and party
celebrating the longest and most likely hottest day of the year; the
ritual will be a fusion of several different magickal practices with
diversity and fire being the main themes. There will be mud painting,
drumming, dancing, water balloons and hot tubbing. Following the
ritual there will be a cold food pot luck (fruits, veggies, cold cuts
etc.) and you are requested to BYO beverage.

Feasting and Festival start at 7:00 p.m. Ritual around 9:00 p.m. This is the third time the temple has had a ritual with political satire; our first year Sheriff Joe was the object of the "Burning Man" Ritual and last year it was G.W. Burning Bush. With things changing since September 11, 2001 we feel that this year's recipient should be the infamous terrorist Osama Bin Laden. All are welcome to stuff the straw man with any and all messages you want to send to him and his kind. The event will end with a symbolic burning of the effigy, dressed in Arabic women’s clothes so that he can experience for himself what he put women through in Afghanistan.

Oct 27 Who's Your Demon?
Sat. October 28: SAMHAIN GATHERING. 7pm Gathering, 9pm Ritual. The Vampire Samhain Ritual will be a reenactment of the solar rite. It will be a vampire play such as seen in the movie Interview with a Vampire. It will consist of a moderator and actors representing the God of Light and the God of Darkness with the children of the night being the vampire spawn. The symbolism will be the war that happens throughout the year between light and darkness, and from out of the Book of Nod will be the story of how vampires came into being. Suffice to say that it should be one Hell of a show -- with a couple of the classical elements remaining intact for all you purists out there. This will be a costume party, so feel free to let your inhibitions and creativity run wild! This will be an Adults Only gathering, as this is a clothing optional event. We are looking for participants for the ritual, so if you want to get in on the secret, you might want to volunteer now. Feel free to direct any questions, suggestions, or comments that you might be burning to get off your pentacle adorned chests. Drop us a line at 602-678-0644. We welcome newcomers, and all people of open minds. On a more somber note, we will be starting the evening with a ritual in memory of those who have passed on this year. There will be a very special Requiem ceremony to honor their memories, to offer our prayers to their families. We will ask that all who attend to please participate in the requiem.

Sat. February 3, 2007: CANDLEMAS / IMBOLC. 7pm Gathering, 9pm Ritual. Focusing on the Triple Goddess. Imbolc, the Festival of Brigid, celebrates the growing strength of the God, still in His child form, and the return of the Maiden Goddess. As their light grows, we grow with them. It is a holiday of light and inspiration, a time when our path becomes more fixed, and the seeds that will grow later begin to stir within us. The Irish celebration of this festival was dedicated to the Goddess Brigid, a triple Goddess who represented inspiration and the arts.

Saturday June 23. SUMMER SOLSTICE FUSION The gathering will start at 7pm and ritual at 9pm. The focus will be on a ritual celebrating the longest and most likely hottest day of the year, the ritual will be a Fusion of several different spiritual practices working together. It will be focusing on the polarity of fire and water, male and female, with the fusion and diversity of spirituality being the main themes. An exploding water balloon fight will finish the ritual. This will be a clothing optional ritual since clothes you have on will get soaked anyway. There will be mud painting, water balloons, and hot tubbing. Following the ritual there will be a cold food pot luck (fruits, veggies, cold cuts etc.) and you are requested to bring your own beverage as well as food to share. $5.00 donation requested.

Saturday August 4. Burning Man Lammas Ritual! Festival to start at 7pm and ritual to start at 9pm. This is the eighth time the temple has had a ritual with political satire. With the taking away of personal rights and freedoms and all of the forced religious overtones of the current administration the temple thought it only fair that this years recipient of this Burning Man Ritual will be WAR and the police state that it creates. All are welcome to stuff the straw man with any and all messages you want to send. The event will end with a symbolic burning of the effigy. $5.00 donation requested with a pot luck to follow. You are requested to bring your own beverage as well as food to share.

This year's ritual held on this new date will be in accordance with ancient traditions including a requiem, candle and fire ritual. We will be speaking to spirits of those who have gone beyond and memorializing the shades of the ancestors, as well as placating them if necessary.
