Version 6.13
So here is the total list of stuff for 6.13:
-
Thanks to optimizations from Ben Supnik, load time down 21%!
Bug fixes:
-
No more errors through vertical flight when you loop the plane!
-
Full quaternion tracking through all angles, all conditions, all times!
-
NAT now working for multiplayer? Try it and let me know!
-
No more crash when you try to output detailed data on the wing coefficients
in the data output screen.
-
Can select textures in the upper-right row and column of terrain in World-Maker
now.. could not access them before.
-
Barber pole (Max allowable mach number) now available for turboprops, not
just jets. Should have been avail before as well.
-
Custom Object textures wrap just fine now.
-
No more "helo hop".
Flight Model Enhancement:
-
Enter the Transonic Drag Rise Mach number for each airfoil in Airfoil-Maker,
-
specifying the exact Mach number at which transonic drag rise begins. This
allows realistic supercritical airfoils!
New instruments:
-
Master Accept (just like master caution but you push it to turn it off)
-
Marker Beacon Mute (push it to stop the markers from beeping)
General features people asked for:
-
Autopilot can auto-set to current conditions or not when engaged based
on your preferences in the "Warnings and Operations" window in the Settings
menu.
-
Lean the engine too much and the engine will eventually overheat and fail!
Watch the OIL temperature for this!
-
The "Output Texture Map Starting Points" option in Plane-Maker now outputs
gridlines to the aircraft bitmap, as requested.
-
Tire blowout! See equipment failures screen.
-
Specify the max allowable vis that realweather can set in the weather screen.
-
Round AOA gage now available!
-
Slung loads on helos! Check out the Weight and Balance screen in Plane-Maker
to set the stats up for this. Physics are great, and challenge signifigant!
-
Rotor coning now visually visible on those helos... pretty fun to WATCH
collective changes.
-
Refinements:
-
Better PFC hardware support, and more PFC hardware supported.
-
Better GoFlight radio support, and more GoFlight radios supported.
-
Fine-tuning of various engine gages (oil pressure, etc) and rate-of-turn
indicator.
-
Turbulence now NOT so strong for light planes.
-
Plane-Maker: if you select mph as your units then those units are used
for the V-speed entries.
-
Altimeter will show baro pressure in the units chosen in the Set Weather
Atmosphere window.
