Peter Terry is a loser
Seems that
Peter Terry tried very hard to get me around Christmas. My mom died on the 15th of December. Although
my mother, at
87, was very much ready to “go home” – it’s been a struggle to say good bye to her. She knew where she was going and was at peace about it.
She told us that when she got to Heaven she’s go looking for my dad and when she found him, she’d give him a great big kiss and then
tell him “Remember all that hard work we did for all that money we saved? Well guess what? I spent it all!”
On the 20th of December
I found out I had breast cancer. I have had all the tests, the surgery and the radiation –and praise the Lord, do not need Chemo – so I
am a cancer survivor! I have some issues with radiation fatigue and bone stress, but I can call myself a survivor! Again, as hard
as Peter Terry was tugging me down, my friends and family lifted me up and God held on to me! God TWO – Terry –
Nothing!!!!

This is from me - Melanie
Okay - Here are some weird Peter Terry moments of MINE, readers. When I was writing the rat scene in The Soul Hunter,
I totally creeped myself out. I was writing at home, which I hate to do because I feel so isolated. So after I
finished the scene, I went downstairs and stepped into the back yard to get some air, and there, climbing up the wall
on our next door neighbor's house was a RAT. I've never once in my life seen a rat running around in the ciy.
But there it was.
When I was writing My Soul to Keep, I had just written the scenes where the clock stops and the light bulbs explode.
I went to the office the next day, and ALL four of my clocks had stopped (they all run on batteries) and all five light
bulbs had burned out. They had all been working the previos day.
Things like this happen to me all the time. I need therapy.

I just started working for a new company a couple of months ago, and was at a very slooowwwww
trade show. However, we had your first two books in the booth, and to pass time, I thought I’d start to read one just
to see how it turned out. Well, as I got into the book, I had someone come by the booth, and almost didn’t want to serve
them – I was too deep into the story. Then, as they day went on, and I got deeper into the book, I would really have
to stop, and shake off the story, as I would look at people and wonder if they were from Texas or not…

Well, my darling, are you sure that Peter Terry doesn't have something over Dallas? So, there is some weird correlation
between car accidents and me driving to Dallas. It's happened the last three times. None of them were my fault.
So, today I was in a whopper car accident. Not sure how this is going to play out, but atleast the police officer
that came to the accident, said it was clearly the other person's fault. It doesn't make the process any less frustrating
though. Fortunately, no one was obviously hurt.

I'm waiting for My Soul to Keep
What happened to you??? Have you been abducted by Peter Terry fans? When is your next book coming out???

It is getting closer to the release of MY SOUL TO KEEP! AHHHH!!!!!!! I think Peter Terry goes to my high school.

My name is Peter Terry
Hello, my name really is Peter Terry. I have not read your
books yet, but from the descriptions I am almost afraid to after finding out that I have the same moniker as a literary character
of some disrepute and a byword on several blogs. It just might be a bit unnerving, like reading the gospels and having
the name Judas or
Satan. I am curious at how you came up with the name since
I don't know any other Peter Terry's personally but see that there are some far more accomplished ones than I who are googlable.
I really am not too afraid of being mistaken for your Peter Terry since I have all my hair, am a born again Christian and
a Family Practice physician and as far as I know, my wife and kids do not find me evil (except when I refuse to extend TV
time, then my kids may disagree)
Anyway, I hope this find you well and am glad for those that are
called to put spiritual truths into accessible literature. Maybe some day I will pick up one of your books and read
about the other Peter Terry.

Is Peter Terry an old friend?
I was singing the praises of your book to a good friend tonight, and telling him how some of the characters and locations
were very much my 1980's SMU/Dallas experience. And he asked the question if Peter Terry is representative of a specific
person from your past. I said "no". But he kept challenging me on it. So I have to ask.
I don't want to break someone's confidence, or expose anyone. But even if your answer is a "yes" or "no". It would
put my mind at rest. I think we were at SMU at the same time.

Another death bed story
Staying with Bill (my father in law) so my wife could go get a mani/pedi and take a break. Pacing around and saw his
copy "When Day of Evil Comes". I laughed out loud as there were 2 dead flies laying up top! Thank you Peter Terry!!!

Got the Soul Hunter, started it....it's disappeared. Either Peter Terry came in and took it, or my daughte did.

Peter Terry showed up this afternoon; could have been the Angel of Death (seriously). But it WAS one of them. My father-in-law
fought someone for a couple of hours, then came back. You would have been fascinated. He has cancer and is on his deathbed.
you can see them fighting over his soul.

i think i'm going to be peter terry for halloween. i'm going to get a fake scar across my back. you make me think better
of the whole "christian" thing. that sounds funny coming from a self-loathing, guilt-ridden catholic, huh? as far as halloween
goes... maybe i would wear a p terry shirt at least but i want to do makeup and everything.

Peter Terry hates me
Every time I start reading Soul Hunter something bad happens. I have six kids and home school so I don't have alot
of time to read. But when I do pick the book up, which I'm always dying to do, the electricity goes out or the washer
breaks or one of the kids gets sick. Do you think that's Peter Terry or just bad luck?

Peter Terry drives a Chevy Malibu
I was driiving along an saw a junky looking car which seemed out of place even in Lubbock which is a college town, so
there are lots of students driving junky cars. This car was rust clored and looked like dirt. The driver, I swear,
was turned backwards in the driver's seat and it was Peter Terry. Or looked just like him. I don't know how this
story could be tru but it is. I know noone will ever believe me.

If Peter Terry ever chased me in a swimming pool I'd never go in the water again. It's like Jaws.

My brother died on this day two years ago in a car accident so it is always a sad day for my family and Christmas is
never very good anymore. But this year was worse than ever. I swear I saw Peter Terry at the grocery store when
I was getting the pie filling for my mom and then that night in the middle of the night our Christmas tree fell over and broke
all the ornaments. Why won't he leave us alone?

Did you know there's a P. Terry's Burger Stand on Barton Springs Road in Austin? The cheeseburgers are really good.
Maybe it's Peter Terry's respectable brother.

August 25, 2006
Today is my birthday and I was having a party that was supposed to be big but turned out to be little. oh well.
Why I"m writing is that Peter Terry is one of the few guests who showed up. It rained all day, the lights went out and
our sink backed up and guess what it smelled like? deviled eggs. I"m not inviting him next year!
i LOVE your books!

August 2006
I was reading your book last night, When the Day of Evil Comes, and I found one of those big Volkswagon flies on my nightstand
this morning, just staring at me. It never moved and just died there. Weird. I've never seen a fly that
huge in mylife.
