Stratford Point is a beautiful piece of property surrounded on three sides by water.  Adjoining the Point to the west is a well-photographed lighthouse now privately owned. Stratford Point is a former Remington Arms property which is now owned by Dupont.  The Point is currently only open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Stratford Point is one of the only places in Connecticut you'll regularly see American Kestrels as well as Eastern Meadowlarks.
