Westminster Golf 2009September 22, 2009The finals. See the handicap page for the match ups.As you can see from the standings, there are 4 teams within 2 points of first place. Check out all the posible results. Also, I have calculated the tie breakers for all the possible ties amongst the top 4 teams based on the tie breaker rules.
Septempber 15, 20091 more week left in the regular season and then the finals.Remember to make up any matches before September 22 as they will affect the standings and who plays who in the finals. I will post the standings with/without make up matches after today's play September 1, 2009Things are getting even more interesting, everything is updated.There are still a number of matches that need to be played. So we should be trying to get those scheduled..... Along those lines, the committee decided that it would not be right to allow the winners to be decided by a forfeit, to that effect, we are trying to get those matches played. Please try to schedule these matches within the next 3 weeks, prior to championship week (9/22/09), giving priority to matches involving the teams at the top of the standings. What happens if some of the matches can't be played ? Let's say that the first place team (Team A) had won a forfeited match against Team B, and that match could not be played. At the end of the season, we will take Team A and all teams within 10 points of them, and calculate their points without their match against team B (front or back as appropriate), to decide who actually finished in first place. If one of the teams played, we are giving that team the option to play it again or take the scores that they had originally. August 10, 2009Things are getting interesting, stay tuned....July 28, 2009And now we are behing in our matches again. I have posted the results, but there are 2 matches missing from last week. Remember that if you don't play on Tuesday, you should email me the results. Otherwise, they won't get posted until the following week.We have 3 teams tied for 4th place with 3 other teams 3 points behind. July 21, 2009We are once again caught up to the schedule. It is unfortunate that some teams decided not to play some of the postponed matches given how close it is.21 points separate first from last and positions 3 through 9 are within 9 points. Everything is posted including the scramble results. Good luck to all tomorrow (today) July 14, 2009I have updated all the results through July 7th. We are still missing a few matches, so the standings could change once we get those in the mix.There are 8 teams within 7 seven points of each other, but the top 2 teams are trying to run away from the pack.... June 16, 2009We have good and bad news. First the good news: we are caught up with all the matches, with the last make up match being played today under the rain, which is also the bad news: only one of the scramble matches was completed today. For those of you who actually read this, the best days to play this week, according to the weather man, are Wednesday, Saturday or Monday.....Handicaps will not change as a result of the scramble, so I won't post the scores until I have all of them. Very interesting so far, only 16 points separates first from last.... Which means, forfeits will make a significant difference, so those of you planning trips, you may want to consider getting a sub ahead of time. You may also consider playing a match before or after your trip (before is preferred) if your opponents are available. June 15, 2009Tomorrow is the front nine scramble. Check the handicaps for team pairings.Teams are paired according to the latest standings. For the teams that were tied, the ties breakers were applied. Team 10 is ahead of Team 9 by virtue of head to head competition. Team 7 is ahead of Team 1 due to more team holes won (5th tie breaker). Check out the scoring page for the tie breaker rules. June 8, 2009It took a little time toget the last score card from last week, and we are still missing a couple of matches, results and handicaps are posted. It looks a little crowded at the top of the standings, and it will only get more crowded when the missing matches are completed. Looks like it will be a race to the finish all the way....June 2, 2009We are up to date, for the most part. With the golf trip and the rain last week we still have 2 matches that are yet to be rescheduled.We also had 2 shortened matches that were finished after 6 holes.... May 10, 2009
