I like making handmade journals for people using the techniques I've discoverd. I use Hahnemuhle papers -- Biblio or Schiller -- which take a variety of media beautifully.

This is a sewn on cords, laced on boards binding, a tightback (the leather is glued directly to the spine) with hand marbled papers.

Options include guards around signatures that can be removed to keep the spine and foredge relatively the same thickness and a pocket on the inside back cover for all the stuff you don't want to paste in.
