January 20th, 02002 to June 20th, 02002 With this journal, I start a new, smaller, horizontal page format. Until now the journals have been just under 9 x 12" page size. The new size is around 9 x 8". This journal starts with a trip to Oaxaca I took with my Dad, an Elderhostel trip, for my 50th birthday. It was just marvellous and made for great journalling! On my actual birthday, we were in Mexico City and I visited Casa Azul, Frida Kahlo's house in Coyoacan.

I took a couple of great workshops, one from Laura Wait, a bookbinder from Denver and one from Carl Rohrs, a calligrapher. My cat, Blaze Foley, died, breaking my heart in May. In June, my Dad gets colitis.

June 21, 02002 to March 27th, 02003 Another horizontal format, concave spine journal. These are nice, not as heavy as the bigger journals. One of my other cats, Squeak, dies and I sit on my first felony jury. My daughter Sara, 20, gets and beats ovarian cancer
