It's a terrific feeling when you make something out of nothing. Made easier when you have an pile of junk to seed ideas. One day, this assortment of my prized motorcycle junk will find their way into a rolling motorcycle that I would love to take on the track, but café racers are so much fun. Hmmm... if I design it right, maybe I can do both.
The powerplant is an SL350 engine which does not have the provision for an electric starter. The frame is a CL350K3 which I have started bracing, but have a few more tricks to try before I am happy. Front brake will either be the 4-LS GT750 drum or the ventilated 2-LS CB350 drum. I want to construct an alloy tank and seatpan, relocate the battery, construct headers and open megaphone exhausts and... yeah, the list goes on. But here's a pic of what I have gathered so far. One day the dream will be a reality. | |||
