ABOUT THE WOLFE’S

We got our first black Doberman bitch in 1994 and then followed with another red bitch and a red male that same year.  I started training the Dobes for obedience and both bitches attained their AKC Companion Dog title.  We started breeding when the girls were 2 years old.  Storm had three litters and is the mother of Autumn our 11 ½ year old.  Cheyenne had only one litter.  In the early days we bred only pet quality Dobermans.  Showing was far from our minds at the time.  It wasn’t until 1997 before the conformation ring beckoned to me.  We bought our first show girl at that time.  The girl turned out too shy for the ring.  We then bought a black male from Mannerheim Dobermans in Canada.  A year later we purchased a black female from Clandobe Kennels in Australia.  Mannerheim’s Firestarter and Clandobe Ladyhawke became our first finished champions.  Three years ago we got Piper who was in lieu of stud free.  Our Champion male was bred to Territory’s Sweet Relish.  Piper did not do well in the ring so we decided to breed her instead.  The breeding was to Jana Dupre’s dog Ch. Richwyn’s Hot Rod (Promise/Olympia Dobermans).

In spite of losing 2 puppies within a few days and Oreo at the age of 11 weeks, this breeding produced our best girl ever (Wolfpak’s Special Delivery).  We also kept a male, (Wolfpak’s Leap of Faith).

Earl and I are both still working 9-5 jobs and find it hard to keep up sometimes with the four Dobermans we own.  Hopefully, we can both retire in 6 years and have more time to devote to our Dobermans, and we hope to  breed again in three to four years.
