Welcome to WolfDance! Here’s the “Guardian Barrel” that marks the entrance to the land. As you can see, locks aren’t always necessary, and the "NO" signs are primarily for hunters who frequently find our Sanctuary a fine place to kill their deer for the year. Those who come in Peace are welcomed.

Cedar at our very own WolfDanceRoad Sign at the bottom of our truly vicious 1.75 mile long driveway. This road has eaten Many tires...

Big Mama Snag – still standing 50 some years after her siblings were slaughtered in the logging of 1950. Imagine a forest all this size.

The Tree of Life - Ceremonially Planted summer of 1987 for the Harmonic Convergence, or the New Fire at the Beginning of Lesser Chaos as our Medicine Circle called it. Its still growing strong and 3 times it's original height.

The road stop here for all but 4wd vehicles  This is the driveway at the bottom of the land. 2 wheel drives park here because the road becomes too steep!

The Pond when it’s full, as it rarely is. Most years it starts as a pond then becomes a wetland and eventually ends up a mud puddle.

This tree at the edge of Sacred Mountain can be seen for miles around. And the view from where the tree stands is amazing as well. Who knows how long its taken to reach this size?

The pond on a drier year. You can see how it's more of a wetland. Lots of fascinating life still abounding.

See - we really did live in a tipi! This is summer 1984 and all we'd cleared was a space for the tipi and a small garden. This shot is looking  towards the northwest corner of the land in the woods.  It was fun living in it, but once winter hit and the snow was building up on it daily it was cold even with a woodstove. But what a way cool experience!

Above is a picture looking south along the side of Sacred Mountain in the daytime. See the Eagle in the distance? Below is the same picture at dusk. Twilights aren’t always so sublime, but then again they so often are. It truly touches the soul.
