In the spring of 1984 as Cedar and Steve were readying themselves for shamanic Naming and Initiation Ceremonies, they
started looking for a house outside town (Seattle) to turn into a queer household. They were immediately drawn to the
inexpensive land in the Okanogan. So they came, and saw, and went home with WolfDance a done deal. Sanctuary achieved over
a weekend. Ol'Coyote had it in for us and we thought we'd be across Lake Washington from Seattle. Well, we are that, as well
as the entire Cascade Mountain Range... hmmmm.....
But we'd never do it differently. This land is too precious, too much magic has happened here for so many people. And
the land itself is so Healing, for Cedar and Kurt (Cedar's husband, married on Moon Rock at the land...) and Steve, and all
the friends we bring over, the ceremonies we help have a place to be by being what we are there. It's a great gift.
