| Midvinterblot, (Oil on canvas, 640x1360cm 1914-1915) by the Swedish painter Carl Larsson, 1853 - 1919. The painting is 6.4 x 13.6 metres and was painted for the National Museum of Sweden. According to Larsson it was his most important painting. The subject is from Ynglingatal which tells the story about the Svea King Domalde who is sacrificed in the Uppsala Temple.
