This page contains links to an assortment of sites that may, or may not, have some bearing on screenwriting. But if they don't directly relate to screenwriting, they will hopefully inspire -- or at least amuse--you.
This Is
True
File this under, "I can't believe people are so stupid!" Randy Cassingham weekly compiles, edits and provides pithy commentary on real
news articles he's culled from publications around the world. If you don't
find some useful character or plot bits from this annals of misbehavior,
then your screenplays are too squeaky clean!

Heroic Stories
This is another site that Randy Cassingham originated, one that skews 180 degrees in the opposite direction of This Is True, celebrating the everyday, common heroics of "normal
people." NETSURFER DIGEST wrote that, "HeroicStories is built on
brief, true stories that illustrate the enduring significance the actions
of one individual may have on others. You must subscribe to receive a regular
dose of inspiration. If it sounds too sappy to you, you're in dire need
of a subscription."
If you're looking for real human drama, these little personal essays will provide it, I assure you. More than once I have been moved by the powerful way people can connect and inspire others.
