Prayer For Peace

We say a silent prayer for peace,
In the hopes our tears have dried.
For Christmas now lights up the skies,
And bathes our hearts in pride.

For those we’ve lost, we stand here silent.
In a remembrance, we each join hands.
For a gift from God was born today,
With a light to mend the lands.

Each candle burns to brighten the way,
As the Lord resolves to bear each sin.
For only the humblest child’s birth,
Can help us shine again.

We must cherish our loved ones close to heart,
And hold dear to those we have not met.
To be thankful for every moment,
With a promise we’ll never forget.
