Angel Wings

Today from heaven, God will see,
His angel watching over me.
He placed her on earth and then,
Watched her become her daughter’s friend.
Her goal in life was oh so clear.
To nurture children, dry their tears.
But much more than a mother she became,
Achieving more than earthly fame.
We think of her now as she stands beside
And our hearts grow warm and swell with pride.
From only a love this mother brings,
As she accepts her angel wings.
