the 2003 Sci-Fi Channel mini-series.

Photo from the set during filming of the 1978 ABC Battlestar Galactica 3 hour pilot. See the Cylon in the back...yes there were actors inside, not real robots. It's estimated there were 30-35 Cylon costumes made at $3500.00 each for the TV series. Few originals exist today because as they were blown up and destroyed during filming, ABC began scaling back the shows filming budget of over 1 million per episode. So no new Cylon costumes were in the budget.

Apollo-Jamie Bamber on the left from the 2003 mini-series and current Sci-Fi Channel series. Apollo-Richard Hatch on the right from the 1978 ABC TV series, and plays a reoccurring role as Tom Zarek on the Sci-Fi Channel series.

Starbuck-Dirk Benedict on the left from the 1978 ABC TV Series, and made an apperance in the 1980 serires 'Galactica 1980'. Starbuck-Katee Sackhoff on the right the 2003 mini-series and current Sci-Fi Channel series.
