Instructions:

1. Download the Typing Game:

The download is in the form of an archive file. Several files needed by the game have been packed into one file.

I have provided two options for the download - hopefully one will work for you.

• TypingGame.sit < 50 k
• TypingGame.zip < 50 k

2. Unpack the archive:

There is a good chance your browser will do this automatically. If not, then you may need a program to do the unpacking.

• For TypingGame.sit, (created with Stuffit) try StuffitExpander. This is free and availlable for Macintosh, Windows, and Linux at
  StuffitExpander.
• For TypingGame.zip, (created with ZipIt) try:
  For Macintosh: ZipIt
  For PC or Unix:pkzip.

When the archive is unpacked, it will create a folder called "TypingGame". This folder contains two html files and a folder called "jars". You can move the whole "TypingGame" folder anywhere you want, but it should always contain the two html files and the "jars" folder.

3. Play the game:

The "TypingGame" folder contains two html files: TypingGame.html and TypingGameSmall.html. Open one of these files with your browser. In Netscape, on a Macintosh, use "open page in Navigator" in the File menu, Open -> menu item. In Explorer, on a Macintosh, use "open file..." in the File menu. From there, it is just like on the internet - only faster and without the ad banner at the top.
