I am currently playing freeroll tournaments ($0 entry but you win real money into your account!), Sit N
Go tournaments, and Fixed Limit Hold'Em games on Ultimate Bet, and a few other sites. SnG is a tournament style of game,
where each player pays a buy-in and a small entry fee. The buy-ins are then divided among the top few finishers.
The context of a SnG is that the tournaments start whenever the appropriate number of players has signed up.
I have cleared the $50 bonus from Ultimate Bet Poker. I have been playing in low buy-in
Sit N Go tournaments, and playing fixed limit Hold'Em tables. I have been playing two tables at a time. One
a nickel/dime table (the blinds are .05 and .02, with the first two betting rounds in nickel increments, following by two
dime rounds. The most you can invest in one hand is $1.20 at this limit) and the other a .25/.50. Up to $6 can be bet
at .25/.50 if you get a bet and 3 raises (which is the max) each round. I finished clearing the bonus playing nickel/dime
7-Card Stud. There is a 1 penny ante for each hand at those tables, so every hand counts!! I was able to clear the bonus
a lot faster on these tables.
Remember if you are interested in trying the $0 poker challenge,
you will need to sign up for an account at PokerSource. Then you will need to participate in one of the free money offers that they present.
Current Poker activity:
I have been playing the most at Poker Host as they have several daily freeroll tournaments that you simply need to play in
one hand in which the pot is raked at least $0.25 in the previous 24 hours to enter. These are easy to make the cash as 500
to 700 players sign up and 260 get paid. It is hard to earn decent money at them as you have to make the final table to get
anything more than $2.50. However making 40 cents in one of the smaller ($200) events and 75 cents or $1 in 2 of the $500
tournaments adds up in a few days. I started sitting at a .25/.50 cash table with $5 and I would play until I had ANYTHING
over $5 and at least one hand was raked a quarter. If the pot reaches $5 they take out a quarter so I can look in the history
and see WIXX605 wins $4.75 with a cool hand or anything more than $4.75 and I know that it was raked a quarter. If it just
says Wixx wins $4.99 (without stating what the winning hand was)that means I made an uncalled bet (I bet and the other players
folded) and it did not get raked at the full amount. An uncalled pot of $5.25 or more would work at .25/.50 limits. So I
started out with winnings of $3 or less and one time I lost my $5. Then I would enter 3 tournaments and win a bit more.
I entered a late night tournament and sometimes I went to play without playing. Some of these nights I still managed
to get paid as I paid the blinds while other players busted out until I was able to finish higher than 260th place.
After I slowly built up a bankroll, I played at a .50/$1 table, sitting down with $10 and again leaving if I had over $10
and a raked hand. More hands are raked at these limits. If you get 10 raked hands in the day, you get extra chips in the
freerolls. more at 25, 50, and 100 hands raked as well. So if you get more raked hands you have a better chance to make
the money on the freerolls. I started with $50 which was won during the $50 free! I took that $50 free at Ultimate Bet and
transferred $100 to Absolute Poker where I already had an account. I then took out $50 and deposited it at Poker Host.
The current amounts I have are as follows:
Poker Host : $200
Absolute : $70
UltimateBet: $40
I also have $45 spread out over a few sites including Iron Duke (link on lower right of home page, that I won money in freerolls.
