What a long night is this! I will not change my horse with any that treads
but on four pasterns. Ça, ha! He bounds from the earth as if his entrails
were hairs: le cheval volant, the Pegasus, qui a les narines de feu! When I
bestride him, I soar, I am a hawk: he trots the air; the earth sings when
he touches it; the basest horn of his hoof is more musical than the pipe of
Hermes.
William Shakespeare, "Henry V" (3.7.9)

I have over 200 horses in my collection, most with minor rubs, only a few
mint, which is as it should be! After all, they were the best playmates a
girl could have! They are not made quite as durable as they used to be,
they have come a long way in looks, but there is nothing quite like the
feel and smell of the older Breyer horses! That smoothness against your
cheeks…the smell of the old mold plastic…ahhh, it could take an older
person back a long way! And you will notice, my collection does not leave
out the ever beautiful Hartland horses, and Hong Kong horses, Hagen
Renakers, okay, and a few Peter Stone…metal, plastic, china…all beautiful
in their way! Enjoy them, browse through and see how many you
recognize…share my feelings of love and joy for these beautiful creations!
