That's why, when this web-based opportunity came along, I went to
editors and journalists I've worked with in the last 20 years and asked for help. I've assembled a handful who
have agreed to edit and comment on each new column appearing here. (NOTE: They review only the columns and feedback
letters submitted for publishing, but no other content on this site.)
Some of these helpers are concerned their employers might disapprove
of them sharing their time. They've asked that I not name them.
On the other hand, others are unconcerned about angering the front office,
and won't help me unless they receive due credit. Those are the names that follow. I thank each of them,
along with those who are not listed, for their help and support.
Finally, I have to note that not one of the editors who is helping me would ever let me get
away with using all these words on this windy, wandering explanation of their function. That's why they'll
see it for the first time when they see it published on line.
