Southern Sea Otter (Enhydra lutris nereis). These playful critters were hunted for their fur, but now their populations are recovering. They have not yet returned to the North Coast and are still listed as a threatened species.  Current threats include oil spills and entanglement in fishing nets.  Morro Bay, CA.
