Portland-based foursome Wild Hair powers
up new/old fiddle tunes and songs from Ireland to Portland, Appalachia to French Canada, New England to
Edinborough, and deluxe points south and east. Dynamic fiddler Betsy
Branch mixes fleet melodies with Todd Silverstein on bouzouki, whistle, and sax, while percussive guitarist Jeff Kerssen-Griep and creative pianist Mark Douglass sync up a deep and agile
rhythm section. The band's clever tune/song combos, instrumental variety and hot
ensemble playing shape a sound that's feisty and grooved, ferocious and graceful, fun
and thrilling, with a sense of humor aimed at the feet.
