My favorite place to be is at the
computer. Here are some of the things I do
there:
Bookkeeping. I do this for my
husband, Russ (IBA Distributor) and his three
dealers. IBA serves the dairy industry from
coast to coast, delivering sanitation
products and supplies from farm to farm.
Church. I use the computer
whenever I can to do projects for the church,
producing newsletters, correspondence and
bulletin board items, to name a few. I have
fun working with graphics.
Greeting Cards. Ever since I
acquired my first PrintMaster
Gold software, I have
been making greeting cards, mailing labels,
newsletters, posters, banners, letterheads,
business cards, personal letters, etc. My
scanner and digital camera help me make some
of these items extra personal.
Music. I use Cakewalk
to compose and print music,
although I have not had as much time as I
would like to spend on this sort of thing. I
have a portable keyboard that will transfer
music right into the computer, and the notes
will then appear on the screen and can be
printed on paper. Or I can enter the music
notes onto the screen using the mouse, which
is what I usually do.
E-Mail. Anything I can do
on the computer gets finished before many
other things that I should be doing, so
anyone who can receive e-mail hears from me
most often. I like to keep in touch with my
out-of-town family members and with the
missionaries that have access to e-mail, as
well as local friends.
Games. I don't spend as
much time as I used to playing games, but
occasionally I still play Monopoly,
Clue, Free Cell or Solitile.
Surfing the
Internet. Actually, I have
barely touched the surface of what's out
there to explore. I do try to read my
hometown newspaper every day, though.
