Fans of the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" have been coming to
Juliette ever since the movie opened. While memories of Idgie
Threadgoode and Ruth Jamison are one of the attractions of a visit
to the Whistle Stop Cafe, a good Southern meal awaits as well.
This is not a place to eat if you are in a hurry. The sense of being in a small town cafe from a long gone unhurried era is part of the charm of the Whistle Stop Cafe. Sweet tea and other drinks are served in Mason jars.
The restaurant sits near railroad tracks and a train may pass by during your meal. This adds to the appeal of the Whistle Stop Cafe. Other than some memorabilia, the Whistle Stop Cafe remains much the same as shown in the movie.
