Marise Country Cooking is a cafeteria featuring Southern favorites
such as fried chicken, ham, and pork chops. It has been around at
different locations since 1985 and is now located in a nice, large
building. It is easily assessable from I-75 and is located not far
from the site of the annual Big Pig Jig. The owners are very
friendly and the prices are inexpensive.
When you first walk in, get your drink on the left side. Then
proceed through the cafeteria line for the rest of your selections.
The meal comes with either mashed potatoes, dressing or rice along
with two other vegetables and a choice of bread.
Macaroni & cheese and potato salad are among the side dish choices.
Sliced jalapeños, onions, and pickles are available upon request as
part of the meal.
Desserts are optional and may include Red Velvet cake, pecan pie, or
sweet potato pie.
Directions from I-75, exit 109: go west for 0.2
miles and turn right (north) onto Pig Jig Blvd. After about 0.6
miles, turn left and go west for 0.6 miles. Marise will be on the
right (north) side of the road.
