“…And please return your seats to their locked and upright position.”

Sydney sighed and closed the novel she had been reading. Looking over to Vaughn, she saw he was still asleep. She stifled a laugh as she reached across to close his mouth that had fallen open in his sleep. Their first real vacation together and here he was, sleeping like a baby. She leaned in a lightly kissed his lips. It had the desired effect. He stirred and she was greeted with a small murmur and those half-open green eyes.

“Hi,” she said softly. “We’re landing. You need to wake up.”

“Mmmm..ok.” She watched him fumble with his seatbelt in his sleepy stupor as he struggled to wake up.

“Excuse me sir, you’re going to have to put your seat in the upright position for landing now,” the flight attendant leaned down to indicate the proper button.

“There you go,” Vaughn answered, moving his chair the 3 inches needed to be upright. “There’s your upright.” Sydney bit her lip to hold the laughter in. This had the potential to be a great vacation

The plane landed in Cancun, and from there, it was just a short boat ride to the island of Cozumel where they had a private beach house waiting. They arrived at the resort and were led down a variety of hallways, paths, and trails until they arrived at small, isolated cabin on the water’s edge. Sydney sighed and reached out for his hand, pulled him closer, and wrapped both arms around him. The cabin was small, rustic, and whitewashed, with a small porch swing in the front. The shutters had been painted a blue that were now worn with the weather and ocean winds blowing against it.

“It’s perfect,” she whispered into his ear. “Could we call in sick forever,” she asked wistfully, knowing in her heart what the answer would be.

“You know, things aren’t…” his voice trailed off.

“That easy? Yes, I did figure that much out,” she finished for him.

They stood in silence, on the beach, waves rolling onto the shore, just holding each other for what seemed like hours. Finally, Vaughn broke the silence, grabbed their bags and said, “Come on. Let’s go see what paradise awaits us inside.”

Stumbling up the beach, giggling like high school kids, they finally reached the porch. While Vaughn fiddled with the key in the lock, Sydney sat on the porch swing staring out at the water.

“Voila!” He had flung the door open with a flourish! Sydney looked aver at him and grinned.

“Come. Sit.” She patted the empty space next to her on the swing. Vaughn slid into the space and turning sideways, he reached out for her, letting her lay across his chest, ear resting to hear his heartbeat. She felt him lay soft kisses on her head, and she tilted her face up to meet his mouth.

Lost in that kiss, Sydney wrapped her arms around his neck, and pulled herself up onto him while their tongues explored lips and mouths. The only sound, aside from the occasional sigh, was the crashing of the waves in the distance. She felt his hands slide up under her shirt and gently massage the small of her back. She shifted her weight slightly, enough to play with the buttons on his own shirt. His tongue licked her upper lip as his hands reached further down her back and under her jeans, and she felt the world sway slightly.

Wait. That wasn’t the world. That was the swing. Before they could catch themselves, they tumbled out and landed with a thud on the deck. Sydney rolled over towards him, gasping for air.

“That wasn’t quite what I had in mind, but it definitely moved me,” she said. They both lay there and laughed, staring up at the blue sky of Mexico.

“It’s pretty,” Sydney said. “Beautiful. You forget that when you’re always running around. There’s never anytime to look.”

“Mmmm, you’re right. It is beautiful.” Sydney turned to look at him. He wasn’t looking at the sky. He was looking at her. She felt herself blush and all she could do was grin at him.

“Come on,” he said as he rose. He offered out a hand and she took it. “I think we can do some more damage inside.” She laughed as he pulled her to her feet. They made their way into the cabin, sharing kisses as they went. She heard his foot kick the door close behind them as he kept reaching out to her with his hands and his lips, only occasionally coming up for air.

“Wait, wait, wait,” she said, as she pulled away. He groaned and dropped his head. “Shouldn’t we- you know, it is a resort after all – shouldn’t we see what events are going on?” Sydney stepped out of his arms, and began to wander around the room. There was no hiding the gleam of mischief in her eyes. “What if there’s a formal dinner this evening? Do I really want to pass up an opportunity to see you in your tuxedo? Or the opportunity to get you out of that tuxedo and see what boxers you chose?”

He followed her step for step around the cabin. “I didn’t bring a tuxedo.”

Well, what if we miss the All-You-Can-Eat Sundae Bar,” she asked innocently, picking up the room-service menu.

“I can think of plenty of other things I would like to do with chocolate sauce,” he answered. He reached out for her, but she was quick and dodged the other way. This was quite fun.

“You know,” she began, “I’ve heard there are always activities like Trivial Pursuit and Twister competitions at places like this too. We could win something. Or we could always test that huge bathtub they have provided us with.” Sydney locked eyes with him. She had reached her final destination – the foot of the bed.

“Oh, we can play Twister if you’d like. In fact, I’m totally ‘up’ for that,” he answered. “Although, the Twister I’m thinking of isn’t really a group effort. It’s more like a team of two.”

“Oh really?” Sydney made no move to dodge the arms and lips that were coming towards her.

“Definitely.” It was the last thing he said before leaning down to take her breath away.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, all thoughts of competition leaving her mind. She parted her lips slightly, using her tongue to trace his lips. His hands moved to her waist, gently pulling her closer.

She broke the embrace, moving back to sit on the bed. She tilted her head to the side and winked, laying back and closing her eyes. She felt the bed shift and laughed as his body covered hers. She lost herself in the kiss, running her hands through his hair.

He pulled back, staring at her. “Sydney, you continue to take my breath away.”

She opened her eyes and blushed. “Vaughn…” She trailed off, not knowing how to respond.

His hands slowly removed her top and she shivered at the sensation. He leaned forward and placed a kiss on her chest, near her heart. She reached for his shirt and quickly removed it. She pulled him back to her, relishing the feeling of being skin to skin. He placed light kisses along her face and moved to trail them along her neck and shoulders.

Sydney wished at times she could just wiggle her nose to make her and Vaughn's clothes disappear, but as his finger and tongue slipped her bra strap off her shoulder all coherent thought of Bewitched fled her mind...til they both lay nude side by side.

His hand trailed over her hip and she smiled as he moved her onto her back and began to fully explore her body. She bit back a moan as he began to kiss her stomach, gently nipping the skin. She arched against him as the kisses began to travel even lower.

When he placed a kiss on the inside of her thigh, she closed her eyes, not even bothering to hide her moan. She gripped the sheets on the bed as he continued to tease her. When she couldn’t take anymore, she grabbed his shoulders, pulling him forward. She wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing every inch of skin she could reach.

She arched her hips and he kissed her fully on the mouth as he thrust into her. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he pounded into her. She tightened her muscles around him, closing her eyes as she came.

Vaughn continued to thrust into her, finally reaching his own climax. He collapsed on top of her, kissing her shoulder. He attempted to roll over, but she held him close, refusing to lose contact. She smiled into his shoulder, not wanting to move. She was content to stay here the rest of the night. She snuggled deeper into his embrace, quickly falling asleep to the sound of his heartbeat.

The rays of sun woke Sydney and she stretched, careful not wake Vaughn. His arm was draped over her stomach, his hand intertwined with hers. She rolled over and leaned over to place a kiss on his mouth, hoping to wake him up.

Before she could kiss him, he grabbed her and pinned her to the bed. “Trying to wake me up?” He placed a kiss on her nose, his hand moving to tickle her sides.

She grinned up at him. “Well, I’m not complaining about how this turned out.”

“Such a dirty mind you have.” His hand trailed suggestively across her lower stomach and she shivered.

“Can you blame me?” She sighed as his hand moved lower.

Vaughn leaned forward and whispered, “Not at all.” He kissed her slowly, taking his time. They had the rest of their vacation to explore the island. There was no rush to leave the room.
